Exploring botanicals to slow the effects of ageing
Using advanced digital tools, researchers are studying an array of plant-derived phytonutrients that may show promise in slowing ageing-related conditions.
By 2030, the number of people globally aged 60 and above will have increased by 40% in a decade, reaching 1.4 billion, according to the World Health Organization. While life expectancy has risen significantly in recent decades, healthspan — the number of years lived relatively free from disease — lags behind.
Among many teams of researchers around the world attempting to solve age-related problems, are the scientists at Amway China, a research-driven company focussed on health and wellbeing products, which is based in Guangzhou, with R&D centres in Shanghai, Wuxi and Guangzhou.
