Earlier this month, Amway announced the completion of a $75 million capital investment, including the commissioning of a new solid-dose tablet manufacturing line and quality control lab at its Nutrilite™ Spaulding Plant. The upgraded facility officially launched on May 6.

“I’m grateful to Amway and CEO Michael Nelson for opening their doors to us today,” said Acting Secretary Keith Sonderling. “Touring the plant, getting a firsthand look at how products are made, hearing from executives about business challenges, and meeting with factory workers gave me invaluable insights. This Administration is committed to serving and strengthening the manufacturing industry, and I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned with President Trump as we continue our mission to Put American Workers First.”

“We were very pleased to show Acting Labor Secretary Sonderling our Made in the USA manufacturing operation right here in West Michigan,” said Brian Kraus, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Amway. “The Acting Secretary had an opportunity to see our expanded manufacturing facility, where incredibly skilled Michigan workers make nutrition products that are shipped across the country and around the world. We appreciate the time Acting Secretary Sonderling took to learn about our products, employees and Amway Business Owners – hundreds of thousands of Americans, who are choosing to chart their own course and serve their customers every day.”

This manufacturing facility marks one of the largest transformations in the company’s history. The flagship operation reflects a new chapter for Amway’s global nutrition manufacturing and quality capabilities. By strengthening the connection between R&D and manufacturing, the company can move more seamlessly from discovery to development to production—translating science into products more efficiently and supporting future growth for the corporation and Amway Independent Business Owners worldwide.

The project included converting 52,000 square feet of warehouse space into a state-of-the-art production environment, now home to more than 500 pieces of equipment used to produce Nutrilite™ supplements. Upgrades include V-shell blenders, high-speed rotary tablet presses and a two-capsule filling machine—enhancing the plant’s ability to meet global production needs.

American Roots with Global Reach

The $75 million investment supports a Nutrilite portfolio of 877 SKUs across 136 formulas, serving 60 markets. With the capacity to produce 7 billion tablets annually, the facility increases Amway’s ability to serve more products and markets from Ada, Michigan.
