Global Media Outlets Visited Amway at Certified Organic Farm in Trout Lake, Washington
Reporters got an inside look at the plants that power Amway’s products
Trout Lake, WA — Amway welcomed journalists from around the world to Cultivating Healthspan From the Ground Up, an exclusive media event held on July 24 at the company’s certified organic farm in Washington state. Over three days, journalists from around the world experienced firsthand how Amway combines regenerative farming, botanical science, traceability, and research to develop health and wellbeing products designed to help people live better, healthier lives.
The event gave attendees an inside look at one of the locations where ingredients for Amway products are grown, while exploring the importance of healthspan, or living better for longer. Through educational presentations, farm tours, and interactive discussions, attendees learned how Amway’s scientists and agricultural experts work together to cultivate high-quality botanicals.
Amway’s commitment to helping people live better lives begins in the United States. The company’s American roots span more than 1,000 acres of certified organic farmland split between two farms in Washington state, where botanicals are cultivated using regenerative farming practices that support soil health and environmental stewardship. These farms supply botanicals used in products such as Nutrilite, Glister, and Artistry, bringing American-grown ingredients to customers around the world.
At the one-day event, attendees heard from leading experts in botanical science, nutrition, and agriculture, including Mary Ann Lila, Ph.D., David H. Murdock Distinguished Professor; Brian Kennedy, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor at National University of Singapore (NUS) and Director at the Centre for Healthy Longevity, National University Health System (NUHS); Summer Ragosta, Ph.D., Principal Agriculture Research Scientist, Amway R&D; Charles Hu, Ph.D., Principal Scientist, Nutrition Research and Clinical Investigation, Amway R&D; and Colleen Carkeet, Ph.D., Manager, Scientific Credibility, Amway R&D.
Through these presentations and discussions, attendees saw how Amway’s regenerative farming practices produce high-quality botanicals and how innovation and research unlock their full potential.
As interest in healthspan continues to grow, the category now contributes an estimated $2.1 trillion to the U.S. economy. The event underscored Amway’s commitment to advancing botanical science and developing science-backed products, supported by more than 65 years of research, innovation, and manufacturing excellence.
Amway’s approach to product development is built on traceability, which provides transparency and trust through every step of the journey. From caring for the soil and cultivating botanicals to scientific research and validation, quality testing, manufacturing, and customer experience, Amway brings together people, processes, and expertise to deliver products consumers can trust. By opening its farm to media from around the world, Amway gave a firsthand look at how American agriculture, scientific leadership, and global innovation come together to improve lives worldwide.
