Proof Beyond the Label: A Closer Look at the Amway Tracing Tool
Consumers are becoming increasingly discerning about the products and brands they choose. They read labels, look up ingredients and check where goods are made – or who makes them. That scrutiny extends across product categories, including dietary supplements.
That’s where traceability comes in – but even more so, transparency.
Amway is no stranger to this practice. In fact, it’s one we’ve implemented for years. Amway’s Nutrilite™ brand of supplements– the #1 selling vitamin and dietary supplement in the world* – champions transparency by providing visibility into where ingredients are sourced and how products are made.

“Consumers are increasingly dissatisfied with trying to determine whether a product will safely do what it promises,” said Lindsay Pott, Manager of Amway Brand and Transparency Efforts. “Per Amway global research, product traceability ranks in the top three purchase drivers globally among consumers who prioritize transparency, which makes sense, because more and more people are doing their own research on products they purchase. When they can’t find the details they crave, doubt sets in.
For customers who want to go beyond the label, Amway developed the Amway Tracing Tool to provide a closer look at what goes into Nutrilite™ products. Using the tool, you can follow a product’s journey step by step – from ingredient sourcing and farming to testing, manufacturing and packaging.
For example, you can explore the NutriCert™ certified partner farm that grows olives used to make the olive fruit extract in Nutrilite™ Magnesium, where it was produced and the testing that was done to help ensure it meets Amway’s standards for purity, safety and effectiveness. The tool also explains the science behind magnesium, including its role in more than 300 processes in the body, such as protein synthesis, muscle and nerve function, and energy production.
The idea is simple: instead of asking you to take Amway’s word for it, the tool gives you the details to make your own call.
This kind of full-lifecycle tracking is part of Amway’s broader commitment to traceability. For Amway, meeting this growing expectation is an extension of several of our core values – including integrity and responsibility – and a reflection of the trust required to build lifelong partnerships.
“Amway is a pioneer in traceability, reflecting our years-long commitment to making what matters visible. Putting validated product traceability into the palm of your hand demonstrates the strength of our commitment to innovating for transparency,” Pott said.
Together, this level of visibility creates a more complete picture of how products are made. For people trying to make more informed choices, transparency isn’t about telling consumers what to think – it’s about giving them the information they need to decide what’s right for themselves and their families.
